Flanagan was a reporter for ESPN between 2000 and 2006. She reported from college football's sideslines for five seasons with ESPN. She served as a sideline journalist for College World Series, Women's Tennis Association's Tour Championships, male college football, and the NCAA Women's Basketball Championships. As a journalist for SportsCenter Flanagan often wrote reports about the Lakers Dodgers Angels UCLA USC and the Chargers. She also covered the NCAA Men's Basketball tournament, college football bowl games, as well as spring training games for the NBA.
